A day at the Zoo

My sister Winnie and I took Ryan and Kat out for a day out at Zoo Negara, to get them out of the house and shopping malls -- even though our zoo is a really depressing place. I was last there 11 years ago and nothing's changed. What worse, the KFC which was synonymous with the zoo (as it was the ONLY place to eat) doesn't even operate anymore. I mean, does anyone remember the song...

Let's go to the Zoo

There's lots of things to do

And the food is finger lickin' good

There's elephants, tigers

A big honey bear

Birds and monkeys

Without a care!

Er... I think those were the lyrics!

Back to the zoo -- it is in an incredibly sad state. The zoo is so outdated (it is 45 years old now) and the animals just don't have enough space to roam, especially the big ones. It's time to either scrap it or move it somewhere within a national park AND call in real experts to supervise in the construction of a new park.

And why can't ALL PUBLIC TOILETS in Malaysia be equipped with toilet paper, like in Singapore??? What is so difficult about doing that? That's why Malaysia will never ever be First World.
