Manoharan, was allowed to leave Kamunting to travel to University Hospital on Friday, 13 Feb 2009, to visit his 11-year-old daughter Shivaranjini who was admitted to hospital after she complained of shortness of breath on Wed night.

This week, The Fairly Current Show talks to Kee Thuan Chye, whose new book, March 8: The Day Malaysia Woke Up is available in all major bookstores nationwide. A compilation of eyewitness accounts, interviews and essays, the book documents the diverse reactions, hopes and expectations that Malaysians had immediately after the historic elections earlier this year. The book features hard-hitting interviews with Lim Guan Eng, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, Raja Petra Kamarudin, Husam Musa and Dr. Lim Teck Ghee, amongst others.

Kee Thuan Chye is a journalist, actor and playwright. His plays include 1984 Here and Now, The Big Purge, We Could **** You, Mr. Birch and The Swordfish, then The Concubine.
